CASE MANAGER/TENANT INCOME AND SERVICES SPECIALIST--Bronx Pro Real Estate Management, Inc.--Tenant Income and Services Specialist/Case Manager
Under supervision of the Director of Resident Services and Supportive Housing Initiatives:
• Perform annual income certifications as required by government agencies and programs (i.e. LIHTC as administered by DHCR, HPD and HDC). Responsibilities include calculation of income and assets, and obtaining documentation from applicants, tenants, employers, financial institutions, etc.
• Assist development staff in the marketing and leasing up of newly constructed or renovated apartments. Tasks include updating waiting lists and log of prospective tenants, follow-up correspondence, phone calls, etc.
• Perform annual apartment inspections to ensure that housing is properly maintained and interview tenants to identify needs, interests, and obstacles to improving self-sufficiency.
• Refer tenants to various service providers or government programs and track progress.
• Meet regularly with property management staff to review tenants in arrears and implement eviction prevention programs.
Successful applicants should be detail oriented and enjoy personal contact with clients, including meeting with tenants in their homes. Experience in community development, case management, and proficiency in Excel is preferred. B.A. or equivalent in work experience. Applicants should be bi-lingual in Spanish and English.

Business Office Interns will work closely with the Director of Business Affairs and the Executive Director to streamline the daily operations of this ever-evolving organization. City Limits provides information and analysis you will not find anywhere else on policies and players, strategies and programs—from the front lines of advocacy and politics to affordable housing, from federal spending to local political races, from community gardens to inclusionary zoning. Editorial interns at City Limits Weekly assist senior staff with research, reporting and newsroom support duties. Interns are encouraged to pitch and write their own stories, which vary from short items (150 - 300 words) to longer magazine features (400 - 1,000 words). MANAGER, LAW CLINIC--Fordham Universtity School of Law--RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversees administrative and staffing functions for the program and coordinates the law practice component of the clinical experience.
• Responds to the needs of a dozen faculty, eight support staff members and more than 100 students each semester is a regular staple of the job.
• Makes sure that the highest level of client service is delivered, the Manager is the administrative anchor of the Clinical Law Program and must have expertise in client service, information systems management and law office management, including compliance with code of professional conduct and management of client trust accounts.
• Reports to the Director of Clinical Education, the Manager assesses Clinical Faculty needs, oversees and assigns Level 7 Legal Secretaries to various faculty members at the Law School Clinic.
• Maintains the Clinic budget, including the assignment of revenues and expenses to various accounts.
• Evaluates secretarial performance and counsels when necessary.
• Acts as point person for various technology applications used in the Clinic, such as “Time Matters” and assesses outside technology for application to the Law Clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A J.D. and three (3) years of practice experience or significant experience in law office management is required.
